What do I know about graphic design?

What should I be doing in my subject area?

In my subject area, I have to learn to make digital designs and drawings.

What skills and knowledge do I need for my subject area?

I have to know how to draw, master software that serves to illustrate such as Photoshop or illustrator and know how to find inspiration.

What jobs can I get by studying in this subject?

Work in an advertising agency, in a brand agency, be self-employed designing web pages and creating 3D designs for video games or animations.

If I scored myself out of ten, with ten being the highest, how well do I think I know my own subject area?

6, I think there must be more about graphic design

  1. There is much more to be learnt about Graphic Design/Illustration. I think overall you should go back into this post and think more deeply about what you need to learn and what is involved in your Subject area - these are very brief answers to the questions you were posed.

This term is a chance to learn new skills - what have you worked on for this project that has enhanced your idea or developed your project? There needs to be some evidence of the research and development of what you have done so far.

  2. Michel, as we discussed in our tutorial last week, there are several posts you have missed and I am not seeing much in the way of progress on your blog or project. Could you catch up on what I added to your tutorial sheet the other day before Week 7 sessions, please.
