 Why did I choose the Purple Haze theme?

It seemed like an interesting topic and a challenge since I never focused on creating projects based on a single color theme, first I thought “what the color purple represents for me”, for me the color purple represents something negative like a disease or something bad, and then I had to explore the meaning of the color purple in other cultures, in very few cultures does the color purple mean something positive. Later I explored more about the color purple and I found a song that is Purple Rain by Prince, I did not understand it very well because the rain was purple, later I informed myself and I managed to understand why the rain became purple, according to Prince says "the rain purple symbolized the end of the world, because there is blood in the sky, and the blood is red and the sky is blue and together they make purple rain " it can be something poetic.

Why did I choose is the graffiti theme?

Because it is an urban art and I like that it is from the street, that I do not have to go to a museum to see it, that I can find it in a street around the corner and be able to contemplate the lines and colors in a simple wall.

Why theme the stickers for my project?

I got to thinking about how I can expose my graffiti product, and the best option is through stickers, I can create different types of graffiti with different designs and themes and reflect them on stickers. The intention is to create a sticker album, my idea is to create something collectible and unique, if you do not like to make an album, you can use the stickers as you want is your choice, you can use them as prints for your notebooks, laptop, books or just leave your mark in a place.

If we think about it, stickers and graffiti have many things in common, first they both want to stand out on a surface and attract attention, they usually have the design of a character or letters, they also have very striking colors.

The stickers are an indicator of what you like, you can take a sticker of your favorite team or your favorite group or simply a logo or a clever phrase. It is showing the ones you like to the world.

I went out and noticed that there are stickers everywhere, they are like mini graffiti, the stickers have the quality of transforming the surface of a boring object into something attractive to the eye.

All these images were photographed with my phone in the city of Leicester. In one of the images, we can see a sticker with the shields of two soccer teams, in another the drawing of a worm.

In this way, each one leaves their mark on the city of Leicester, one supporting their football team and the other leaving a sticker with which they represent themselves.
